About

With over 400 educated and professional women rising to meet the needs of our community, The Junior League of Huntsville shares one mission with over 150,000 women around the globe who are committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. We are thought leaders, visionaries, and community partners!

Promoting Voluntarism

JLH members are a dedicated and hard-working community of women. We are engineers, nurses, attorneys, caregivers, stay-at-home moms, entrepreneurs and more, from a wide variety of backgrounds. But we all have a passion for volunteering, which binds the members of our organization together.

Developing Potential

Through hands-on experience as well as professional training at the local, national, and international level, JLH members are trained in community program development, execution of community programming, advocacy, civic leadership, community research, event planning, fundraising, finance, public relations, electronic communications, and overall personal development.

Improving our Community

For more than 70 years, our members have made a positive difference in Huntsville/Madison County. JLH is invested in supporting and developing long-term programs and initiatives that address the ever-changing needs of our community.
