ABOLISH Human Trafficking

The mission of the Junior League’s nationwide ABOLISH Movement is to bring an end to human trafficking through awareness, education, prevention, and legislative advocacy. Throughout the year, our committee works to provide education about how to recognize and report human trafficking, participates in and sponsors events during Human Trafficking Awareness month in January, and helps survivors and at-risk youth by supporting victims advocacy organizations.

Some of our recent efforts have included placing awareness signs in Huntsville International Airport, providing Christmas gifts for victims at a local safe house and sponsoring community awareness discussions with various federal, state and local agencies involved in Human Trafficking law enforcement and victim recovery.
