Drowning Prevention

Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death for children ages 1 to 4. This training will be focused on promoting awareness of drowning risks and how this issue can be prevented. Questions are encouraged; an Infant Swim Resource Instructor will be available for questions on survival swim lessons and attendees will see a video example of survival swim lessons. JLH Member Katherine Easterwood will also be speaking. Katherine is the aunt of Jackson Easterwood, who drowned on 2/24/18. She will share her family’s experience with drowning in the hope that this information will save a life.

Hosts/Speakers: Katherine Easterwood (Aunt of Jackson Easterwood), Caroline Espy (Senior Master Infant Swim Resource Instructor), Brie Woodfin (JLH Member and Family Nurse Practitioner)
