Operation Education is an ongoing initiative by the Junior League of Huntsville to support schools, students, and other educational programs in our community. Some of the educational programs we are currently involved in include: supplying tornado affected schools with back-to-school supplies, assisting the Arts Council of Huntsville with their Creative Teaching Workshop, hosting a Teacher School Supply Drive in conjunction with Pump It Up! of Huntsville, and exploring college prep programs for high school students and their parents. We are dedicated to supporting public education throughout Madison County and providing teachers and students the tools for success.
Operation Education committee members used donated Target gift cards to shop for and deliver school supplies for Harvest Elementary, Sparkman Middle and Sparkman High School—schools that Madison County school officials identified as the hardest hit by the recent tornadoes.
